AWS Direct Connect_
Our connectivity models_
50Mbps to 10Gbps and delivered through the network-to-network (NNI) interface that we have provisioned with AWS in each on-net region. These support one public or private virtual interface (VIF) and connections at 1Gbps or greater also support a transit VIF.
1Gbps or 10Gbps physical Ethernet ports dedicated to a single customer. Able to support 50 public or private VIFs and 1 transit VIF.
Built for speed_
AWS has designed its Direct Connect product to function at the following speeds:
Currently supported regions_
Our pricing model for Cloud Connect is identical across all cloud service providers. We charge based on the speed of the connection(s) and the distance from your location to each cloud on-ramp.
In addition to BSO’s fees, AWS costs should be considered.
Port hour cost
AWS charges an hourly fee based on your VLAN size and the time that your connection is active.
Outbound data cost
A set price perGB for all data leaving your AWS region over Direct Connect. A benefit to Direct Connect is that fees are greatly reduced when compared to the egress costs associated with an Internet connection to AWS.
BSO is an official AWS technology partner_
Through years of working alongside AWS, we have achieved and maintained our Advanced Technology Partner status. This is a testament to our commitment towards supporting customers with their AWS Direct Connect needs.
