How would you describe yourself in a few sentences?
I am a fun-loving person who likes to have a good time (clearly from the pics). I am a wife, and mother of three boys, which is also why these are the only pics of myself. I like to take care of people, I am disciplined and hardworking. I love to entertain and make people feel welcomed.
When did you join BSO and what’s your role?
I joined BSO in December 2018. I am a Senior Sales Director managing and growing the Chicago financial market base.
What do you love the most about the BSO culture?
I love that BSO is truly a global company, yet small enough to be like a family. I love that I can talk or communicate with almost anyone in the world! I love that we have the opportunity to see each other a few times a year to truly help establish relationships.
Outside of work, what’s your passion? Or tell us something we don’t know about you!
Outside of work, I like to work out, compete in team events, volunteer at my kids' schools, and redecorate my house. Oh, and drink wine!
How would you describe yourself in a few sentences?
I'm a network services professional and cut my teeth with an FX broker back in the nineties, when there was money to burn and Y2K was our biggest challenge! I've seen huge changes in this industry - from the shift away from proprietary real estate to data centres to the evolution through copper, fibre and wireless. To think twenty years ago that 40- or 100GB bandwidths would be 'run of the mill' would have been quite unbelievable, so this industry has had to adapt and grow ahead of those curves. It's never become tedious and still excites me today to see the speed of innovation
When did you join BSO and what’s your role?
I joined BSO in February 2018 as PMO Director - I manage the team of Project Managers and Field Engineers which is split across five locations in Europe, North Africa and Asia and is responsible to deliver both customer orders as well as any projects relating to the BSO backbone footprint.
What do you love the most about the BSO culture?
BSO is a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation. It’s constantly evolving but it still has very 'old-school' roots engrained in its culture. The focus is very much on the customer and racing to deliver what they need, often in challenging geographies or environments. I love that, even whilst the company grows, everyone is still employing the startup mentality and going outside of their remit to get the job done.
Outside of work, what’s your passion? Or tell us something we don’t know about you.
My passions are my horses. Following major spinal surgeries after an accident in 2015, and an enforced year off work, I never thought I would ride again, so I count my lucky stars every day and, outside of work, I am pretty much solely focused on looking after them all
How would you describe yourself in a few sentences?
I am an extroverted introvert and I think that the term “force tranquille” probably describes me best. It is French for a “quiet force”: I am serene yet energetic; perceptive and like to find solutions to challenging situations.
When did you join BSO and what’s your role?
I joined BSO back in June 2020 as a Marketing Manager.
What do you love the most about the BSO culture?
You get to be surrounded (currently only virtually but still) by people that are truly passionate about what they do and want to share their knowledge with you, independently of their role in the company, seniority or department. There is a real family feel, everyone is just a Slack message away. I felt right at home the minute I joined and that is how I knew I was where I needed to be.
Outside of work, what’s your passion? Or tell us something we don’t know about you!
Travelling and tea are my two passions in life. Every occasion I get to escape from grey London, I take! London is an amazing city and a multicultural hub but vitamin D is a must for me. When it comes to tea, it is just like wine. There are so many different kinds, with so many different stories to discover that learning about them is quite reminiscent of travelling.
The world of teas is truly fascinating.
How would you describe yourself in a few sentences?
I would describe myself as fun-loving, like to be spontaneous. I love to travel and am interested in different cultures, architecture and history. I have over 20 years of experience in the tech sector.
When did you join BSO and what’s your role?
I joined IX Reach (acquired by BSO in 2019) in May 2018 and I’m the Director of Partnerships EMEA. I work remotely from Turkey where I live.
What do you love the most about the BSO culture?
I like the diversity of cultures and our customers, we cover the world!
Outside of work, what’s your passion? Or tell us something we don’t know about you!
Some things you might not know about me: I won a Classical Greek reading competition amongst the schools of my county. I captained my University at Darts. I have lived in Budapest and speak Italian. You also can find me at “Women in Tech” panels.
How would you describe yourself in a few sentences?
A taciturn passenger whose life aims have been versatility, problem-solving and meditation.
When it comes to work I focus on providing simple, friendly, long-term and stable contributions while I speak loud about my hatred against human complexification.
When did you join BSO and what’s your role?
I joined the SysDevOps Team at BSO in January 2018.
What do you love the most about the BSO culture?
Some of the reasons that motivated me to join BSO: The young startup-like culture, the devotion to link BSO’s human resources to one whole family, the controlled innovative strategies, constraint-free work environment, the flexible and ‘young’ thinking of the executive board - to name a few!
Outside of work, what’s your passion? Or tell us something we don’t know about you!
I am a black belt Karate, practice mechanic diagnostics on petrol cars specifically BMW while being a die-hard lover of the Arabic desert.
It may sound cliché, but...
