Role
As part of our growth we are looking for a Legal Assistant in charge of providing a strong support to our legal team.
- Provide administrative and research support to the legal department
- Research legal issues and supporting law by using online and offline resources
- Summarize documents
- Compile and analyze data
- Draft documents including letters, and templates
- Review documents and contracts
- Serves as communication liaison between the legal team and other departments in the company
- Organizing, implementing and maintaining the legal app database of the company.
- Identifying and escalating concerns (and solutions) to our Chief Legal Officer and others (e.g., Compliance) as appropriate.
- Handle other issues and administrative tasks, non-exhaustive list.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in the legal department of a company or at a law firm
- Legal & administrative background (Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as paralegal studies, legal studies, or business law; paralegal certification a plus)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of legal terminology and legal writing
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
