France and Continental Europe Marketing Manager

Your Role

 

As BSO’s Local Marketing Manager your objective is to build a comprehensive GTM plan for France and Continental Europe and lead the execution of global Marketing strategy locally. The ideal candidate will be a self starter with experience in Cloud/Telecommunications/IT Infrastructure/ Technology B2B Marketing.

 

You’ll be working as part of a growing global marketing function made up of a variety of roles: digital marketing, marketing automation, brand design, partner and vertical marketing. This role will be an integral part of the team, initiating and executing on initiatives for pipeline generation to support regional sales goals.

 

You will be based in London or Paris and will report directly to the Global Marketing Director. Your responsibilities include:

  • Defining marketing strategies for your region in order to support  global marketing goals and company objectives
  • Working closely with the Global Marketing Director to implement global marketing strategy locally and to deliver effective multi-channel and integrated marketing campaigns with the aim of acquiring and retaining customers
  • Working closely with the regional Sales Director and sales team to increase brand awareness locally, develop new business opportunities and drive leads and MQLs for your sales region
  • Writing copy and liaise with copywriters to create content for the website, pitch decks, product sheets, email campaigns etc
  • Coordinating the timely and accurate translation of website, collateral and thought leadership content into target language
  • Managing digital and face-to-face industry conferences and BSO own events in the region to create new sales opportunities and deepen our existing customer relationships
  • Managing the local PR agency and raise awareness of BSO and our spokespeople in your target market
  • Conducting whitespace activity in target sectors
  • Being an advocate for the marketing department and help the sales team understand the marketing department's priorities and how the  marketing campaigns can be used to support pipeline generation and vice versa
  • Collaborating closely with central marketing to support the global strategy and delivery of campaigns. 
  • Working with the digital marketing manager, marketing automation manager and brand design manager to create landing pages, targeted and automated email campaigns, nurture journeys, organic and paid social, website content and SEO optimised copy. Clearly and effectively brief your colleagues in the marketing team to execute in their specialist areas
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure a unified and compliant approach to customer service
  • Managing a regional marketing dashboard that tracks effectiveness and KPIs and feed into the monthly marketing reporting 
  • Supporting ad-hoc marketing duties and projects as needed

Skills & Qualities

  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, communications or relevant field; MSc/MA advantageous
  • Well-rounded marketer who enjoys executing strategy and delivering results
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles and ability to apply techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non-digital (e.g. press) channels
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Deep understanding of the telecoms and cloud technology industries, changing market dynamics and target audiences
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively, deliver to deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Outstanding communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities 
  • Flexibility and entrepreneurial spirit
  • An eye for detail, alongside the ability to see the big picture
  • Previous experience with the use of Asana, Slack, Google Docs, Hubspot advantageous
  • ABM and vertical marketing experience advantageous
  • Successful track record of delivering, accelerating, and expanding enterprise B2B sales pipeline through regional marketing
  • Knowledge of the needs and experience of the buyer profile (CIOs, CTOs, Heads of  Network, Heads of Infrastructure) in target region
