Procurement & Vendor's contract Manager

Role

With a strong telecommunications industry expertise, the Procurement & Vendor’s contract Manager is responsible for managing all purchasing and procurement activities, including supplier development, selection, and contracting of material. You will prepare, review, negotiate, and administer vendor contracts and purchase orders,  in addition to evaluating operations, change management processes, vendor service performance, Master Service agreements (MSAs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This position needs a strong Telecommunications Industry expertise.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages purchasing process and executes procurement for the company to deliver performance objectives in quality, cost, and service as measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Discovering profitable suppliers and initiate procurement partnerships.
  • Troubleshooting vendor issues such as purchase orders, delivery schedules, technical documentation, product queries, pricing models, SLAs and contractual obligations.
  • Experience of working with network routing maps in identifying resiliency, underlying cable systems and latency of certain routes.
  • Monitor compliance of preferred colocation and telco vendors.
  • Resolve or escalate important colocation and telco vendor performance, compliance, and pricing/billing issues.
  • Support negotiation teams in complex sales opportunities with global and key accounts.
  • Reviews cost proposals and pricing information.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with all vendors and suppliers, and review and analyze Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to secure advantageous terms.
  • Prepares and administers contracts renewals and purchase orders.
  • Compares bids from vendors and determines, or assists with determination, to whom contracts will be awarded.
  • Evaluates vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Confirms that terms and delivery dates are accurate.
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Negotiate, review and dispute price increases.
  • Maintains database regarding vendors’ performance and quality of product(s).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills & Qualification

  • Previous IT / Telecoms procurement and partner management experience.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of contract terms and conditions.
  • Good knowledge of telecom services, hosting, cloud, fiber, cross connect etc.
  • Experience and familiarity with Supplier performance metrics.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to work alone or within a team, interaction across teams is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a similar field (Mandatory).
  • Minimum 2 -3 years of relevant experience required in the Telco Industry. Proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines and exceeding product performance targets within the IT and/or Telecoms markets.
  • Strong commercial and operational experience of working with colocation partners and telecom vendors
  • Experience within the Financial and Telecommunications Markets would be advantageous
  • Experience in negotiating MSAs, SLAs and other contracts with a strong commercial acumen on what makes a good contract.
